MINUTES OF THE MONTHLY BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
SECTOR 2A AT SNOHOMISH CASCADE ASSOCIATION

CALL TO ORDER /
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
- Bill Steenis called the meeting to order at 7:15pm. Present were Bill Steenis,
Steve Yandl, Trina Coleman, Cheryl
Carlson, Duane Oord and Allen Kerr.
- Trina Coleman presented the Minutes from the January
meeting. It was moved and seconded
to accept the minutes as amended. Motion carried 6 – 0.
TREASURER’S REPORT
- The
balance in the checking account is $44,398.
- As of today
164 homeowners have paid their dues. We have also received 115 proxies
which give us a quorum and 131 yes votes on the budget.
- At the
end of the month a follow-up invoice will be sent out to all those who
have not yet paid via certified mail. Liens will be filed the first of
April.
- A
request was made for the HOA to contribute to the Snohomish County Parks
program to offer a concert series at the park. It was tabled to talk about this further
after we determine where we are with all dues payments.
MAINTENANCE
- The
homeowners on Sno-Cascade just west of 67th Drive
did not like the option of reimbursement so we are waiting for him to
remove the dirt prior to our replacing the damaged sections.

COMMITTEE REPORT
- Project
Requests
- A
homeowner on 158th put in a request to put a parking pad.
- A
second homeowner asked for permission to replace a front portion of her
fence. The homeowner will paint the fence to match the next door
neighbor’s house.
- CC&R
Violations
- Allen
Kerr went over and viewed the patio cover on the Blume’s
house. The structure is made of metal and has an acrylic roof. It is
mounted to the house.
- Ride
Share Van – After receiving further information the complaint was in
regards to the van being parked on the street over the weekends.
OLD BUSINESS
- Rentals
- Warner
– A letter has been written to the homeowners and will be mailed
reminding them that variance expires in April.
- Gerges
– Has paid their dues for 2009.
- Sharma
– It was moved and seconded to give Sharma’s 30 days to buy the 1% they
sold back so they can begin activity on selling the home or evicting the
tenants. If at the end of 30 days they have not taken any action then we
will begin the process of contacting the lender to call the loan. This
motion was approved 6-0.
- Guimont – We will ask Sherman to write a letter notifying the
homeowner that we will begin the foreclosure process. This was moved and
seconded and approved by a vote of 6-0.
- Little
League – They have submitted a request for spring reservations. We will
grant them use of the field as long as they meet the previously stated
requirements.
- Meetings
will move to the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm.
NEW BUSINESS
1.
Allen will look into reviving the Block Watch
program.
2.
Briefly discussed the possibility of installing
speed bumps in several locations throughout the HOA.
