MINUTES OF THE MONTHLY BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
SECTOR 2A AT SNOHOMISH CASCADE ASSOCIATION
7:00 PM
WEDNESDAY January
14, 2009
CALL TO ORDER /
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
- Bill Steenis called the meeting to order at 7:10pm. Present were Bill Steenis,
Steve Yandl, Trina Coleman, Cheryl
Carlson and Joyce Bowen.
- Trina Coleman presented the Minutes from the December
meeting. It was moved and seconded
to accept the minutes as amended. Motion carried 5 – 0.
TREASURER’S REPORT
- The
balance in the checking account is $33,642. If we subtract out the
deposits for the dues for 2009 and the outstanding checks we have about
$10,000 in the account. We started the year with $8,000 in the checking
but there are several expenses that we projected to come through in
December, but they are not going to be billed until December (the mailbox
replacement and a small fence replacement).
- As of
date there are about 30% of the homeowners have paid their dues (82). We
have also received 64 proxies which give us a quorum.
MAINTENANCE
- Fence
repairs are pending behind the Mays house. Towne and Country has been
contacted. They did take $200 off the last invoice for the mix-up on fence
panels. The homeowners on Sno-Cascade just west
of 67th Drive is asking for his fence to be replaced. We are
asking that the homeowners complete the excavation work prior to Towne and
Country being contracted to complete the fence repair. The second option
would be that the homeowner could contract with the fence company to have
his entire fence replaced, including the backyard and we would reimburse
for the part of the fence that is common fencing.
ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL
COMMITTEE REPORT
- The
rental situations
- Sherman wrote a
letter to the Gerges’ attorney and we have not heard anything back as of
yet. The house still remains vacant.
- The
next step of action would be to have Sherman contact the lenders for the Guimonts and the Sharmas.
Bill and Steve will meet with Sherman
prior to this.
- The
fines are in the $25,400 (Guimont) to $24,600
(Sharma) for the two home owners.
- The
Warner’s will be receiving a letter to remind them of the expiration of
the variance.
- There
is a vanpool van parked outside the house at 15417 70th
Avenue SE. There
have been complaints from neighbors in regards to the excess cars parked
in the cul-de-sac. We will continue to monitor this.
- A
letter will be drafted the Blume’s in regards to
their newly installed patio cover, that it does not meet the requirements
of the CC&Rs.
