MINUTES OF THE MONTHLY BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
SECTOR 2A AT SNOHOMISH CASCADE ASSOCIATION
7:00 PM
WEDNESDAY December
10, 2008
CALL TO ORDER /
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
- Duane
Oord called the meeting to order at 7:10pm. Present were Duane Oord, Steve Yandl, Trina Coleman, and Joyce Bowen.
- Trina Coleman presented the Minutes from the October
meeting. It was moved and seconded
to accept the minutes as amended. Motion carried 4 – 0.
TREASURER’S REPORT
- The
balance in the checking account is $17,610.00. There are five checks that
are not showing up yet, which would bring the balance to $17,231.00. And
another $3,400 was just signed.
This puts us further ahead then we were planning, partly because we
have not installed the new mailbox yet and there is still a fence section
left to be repaired.
- There
have been no questions on the budget that was printed in the newsletter.
There is additional money ($3,000) placed in the maintenance fund to cover
any bad debt that we may experience.
- Nothing
has changed in the long term capital fund or the operational reserve.
MAINTENANCE
- Steve
reported on behalf of Cheryl Carlson, there were three new fence sections
replaced on the north side of Snohomish Cascade just west of 67th Drive.
Although these did need to be replaced at some point these were not the
intended sections for repair. There was some miscommunication between the
workers as to which fence sections should be repaired, rather than paying
the bill outright, we want to see if there can be some concessions on the payment.
ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL
COMMITTEE REPORT
- There
is a boat that has been parked outside of the house at 15704 67th Drive SE.
Joyce will call the owner and also send a letter reminding him of the
parking limitations.
- There
is a vanpool van parked outside the house at 15417 70th Avenue SE.
There have been complaints from neighbors in regards to the excess cars
parked in the cul-de-sac.
- The
rental situations
- Sherman will be
writing a letter to the Gerges’ attorney
- The
Guimont’s attorney is still representing them.
- The
Sharma’s’ attorney was paid to write the initial letter. And it does not
sound as if she is still representing them. It seems as if the Sharmas may be in a
difficult situation because of the quit claim deed of 1 percent of the
house to the tenant.
- The
next step of action would be to have Sherman contact the lenders for the
Guimonts and the Sharmas. Bill and Steve will meet with Sherman prior to this.
- The
fines are in the $21,000 to $22,000 for the two home owners.
YARD OF MERIT
- The
judging for holiday decorations will be on December 15 at 7:00pm, after
judging meet at Bill’s house.
