Steenis called the meeting to order at 7:10pm. Present were Bill Steenis, Steve Yandl,
Joyce Bowen, Trina Coleman and
Cheryl Carlson.
- Steve
Yandl presented the minutes of the July meeting noting that no changes
have been made from what has been posted on the web page. Steve Yandle moved to accept the
minutes. Joyce Bowen seconded and
the motion passed 4 – 1.
TREASURER’S REPORT
- Steve
Yandl reported that current finance reports from the bookkeeper are not
yet posted on the web site.
- Current
balance in operation fund checking is $44,707 with approximately $7,700 in
outstanding bills. This leaves us
approximately $37k in operating funds for the remainder of the year, which
should allow us to finish the year with money left over.
- Our
operational reserve held in money market account is at $23,300. Our long term capital fund is at $55,771.
- Currently
the bill with Sherman Knight is $450 for legal counseling on the rental
situations.
- With
the surplus we may want to look at improving the trail and adding
additional pavers.
MAINTENANCE
- The
wood chips were blown into both play areas.
- Towne
and Country gave a quote for repairing several sections of fence. The
total is $1199 plus tax for eight sections. They also quoted $120.00 to
repair a section of the chain link at the baseball field.
- Brian
Skinner still needs to take care of the graffiti on the rock at the boat
park.
ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL
COMMITTEE
- Joyce
has been driving around the neighborhood several times a week and taking
down notes on potential violations.
- Multiple
homes were identified as having trailers, boats or campers in the front yard
for extended period of times. There are also two sheds that are unpainted.
In addition, several yards are in need of attention. Letters will be sent
to these homeowners.
- We
have not had a response from either party in regards to the letters which
were sent by our attorney, Sherman Knight advising them that liens have
been filed. Technically both parties are in violation of their mortgage
contracts. The fines imposed thus far for those situations are $10,120 and
$9,220.
- A
homeowner asked for approval to rent a room in his house , He will be
staying in the home. Approval was granted with the caveat being that if
the homeowner were to move out the rental approval would be terminated.
Steve moved to grant the approval and Joyce seconded the motion. It was approved.
- Cheryl
brought up a point about the weeds on Puget Park Drive and asked who was
responsible for the upkeep of that road and the center strips.

Steenis reported that the program is going strong. August will be the last
month of judging with signs being given out for the month of September.
- We
will hold a holiday program again this year.
