MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER/APPROVAL OF MINUTES
- Mike Summitt called the meeting to order at
7:20pm. In attendance were Mike Summitt, Sue Ann
Goldman, Bill Malowney, Betty Malowney, and Steve Yandl.
- Steve
Yandl presented the minutes from the November 13, 2002 meeting. Sue Ann Goldman made a motion to accept
the minutes as read. Mike Summitt
seconded the motion. The motion was
carried 5-0.
TREASURER’S REPORT
- Sue
Ann Goldman summarized how she was handling renewal of the CDs to assure
that we always have sufficient cash to cover expenses.
- Summary
reports were presented. We
currently have just over $6000 in checking to handle expenses. Net income is approximately $-2,800 Reports
are on file.
- Sue
Ann presented the budget sheet for 2003 which will be included with the
billing for the annual assessment.
- Steve
Yandl made a motion to accept the budget as presented. Bill Malowney
seconded the motion. The motion was
carried 5-0.
REVIEW OF MAIL TO THE BOARD
- Approval
of Doug & Kathy Miller’s shed from Leavitt (ACC)
- Faxed
bill from Sherman Knight for November activities.
UPDATE ON CC&R ISSUES
- Checking
with Leavitt regarding use of plywood my Millers on their shed, which was
not what was detailed in their approval request.
- Asked
Leavitt to investigate particulars of a large tree downed by the Woellhofs without committee approval.
- Dale
Wise has made progress on yard but still needs to complete fence and deck.
UPDATE ON GRONDS AND MAINTENANCE
- Bill Malowney has been contacted by the Eagle Scouts who
have made a commitment to do maintenance on our wood shaving trail. The will utilize the lumber from old
mailboxes to create a trail border.
- A
truck has been operated on the ball field damaging flower beds and lawn
surface causing $300-$500 worth of damage.
A notice will be placed in the January newsletter to make
homeowners aware of the cost of this behavior.
- There
has also been new graffiti on the boat play toy.
- A
fair amount of moss has shown up.
That will be addressed next spring.
- Bill Malowney indicated he is investigating some lighting
concepts for the entry to the neighborhood but any improvements are
contingent on fund availability.
NEW BUSINESS
- We
are targeting to have an election of board members the second Wednesday in
May. We will place an invitation to
homeowners interested in being candidates in the January newsletter. Candidates will be asked for a short
bio. In the February newsletter we
will include proxy statements to facilitate getting the required quorum to
have a valid vote for board members.
- We
discussed asking committee chairpersons to attend future board
meetings. They will be scheduled
immediately after approval of previous meeting minutes and free to leave
after presenting any business they might have. Steve Yandl made a motion to extend the
invitation to all the current committee chairpersons. Bill Malowney
seconded the motion. A vote was
taken and the motion passed 5-0.
- Sue
Ann Goldman suggested that she should put $1000 back in the CD due for
renewal and retain the remainder to cover any upcoming expenses. Bill Malowney
made the motion to re-invest $1000 in that CD, Steve Yandl seconded the
motion. A vote was taken and the
motion passed 5-0.
- Set
locations for upcoming meetings, still the second Wednesday of each month.
